A lesson learned...
The other day my boy was using the bathroom and, well, he always likes me to sit with him and read him a book. Some days I am too busy and I usually bring him his Leap Frog learning system to entertain himself. A couple of days ago I tried to busy him with his toy and he looked at me with his beautiful big blue eyes and said, "I just want you to read to me Mama." Well, after I picked up my broken pieces of my heart off the floor, I decided to tease him a little bit. I got this new parenting book from James Dobson that I have been reading. (I also brought his new dinosaur book from the library too.) I thought for sure he was going to hate it. And I read. He looked so happy just to have me there and probably didn't understand a word of what I was reading but he was so happy just to have me there with him. So, this week I learned that sometimes I need to SLOW DOWN and sit down!

Too cute! I know exactly where you're at. Natalie always asks me to go to the bathroom with her and I often sigh and say, "You're big enough to go on your own". But then I remind myself it's only 5 minutes and to them that time is precious. Good job dying to self and showing your little man that you always have time for him.
Thanks Sarah, You always have such encouraging things to say. It really is only five minutes but what an investment.
